Two teens reported missing in Adams while hiking mountain located

ADAMS, Mass. - Massachusetts State Police say two young teenagers reported missing have been found and are back with their families.

The teens, one male and one female, were reported missing at around 2 p.m. Thursday. Authorities said they are between the ages of 13-14 years old. 

State Police say the teens were hiking on Mount Greylock, as part of the Pittsfield Youth Summer Program, when they went missing from the group Thursday afternoon.

Units from Cheshire State Police Barracks, the Air Wing, and State Police K9 units were on scene searching along with the Adams Police K9 and Adams Forest Warden., and a staging area was set up at West Mountain Road in Adams.
