Sheriff: Man accused of raping victim near boat launch
AMSTERDAM, N.Y. - A local man has been arrested and accused of rape.
According to The Montgomery County Sheriffs Office, they arrested Justin Milonovich, 46, on Tuesday. The Amsterdam man has been charged with rape in the third degree.
The arrest resulted from a complaint filed with the Sheriffs Office which was received on July 13.
The victim told authorities that on July 11, Milonovich allegedly had sexual intercourse with the victim without her consent in a wooded area at the Schoharie Boat Launch located at 195 Hartley Lane in the Town of Glen.
The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident. She was treated and released from St. Mary's Hospital.
Milonovich was arraigned at the Town of Glen Court and remanded to the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 Bond.
