TROY, N.Y. - Troy police are continuing to investigate the homicide of 16-year-old Eshane Walker.
Officers were called to 447 Second Avenue in Troy late Friday night for an alleged stabbing. An unidentified witness and Troy neighbor says that she saw the incident occur.
"I just went to go get a sub and I heard arguing. So, I walked to the gate by CVS and there was a bunch of kids and one kid walked away. Next thing you know someone stabbed him in his back or side, kids scattered and he fell to the ground,” said the witness.
The woman says she immediately called 911 after she realized what had happened.
"It was pretty sad to see. For twenty minutes EMTS and Troy Police did their best with chest compressions,” she explained
According to police, Walker later died from injuries at St. Mary’s Hospital.
"It's a shame that a boy was stabbed and I am concerned being a mother of a 15-year-old. Every time he leaves the house I hug and kiss him like it's the last time I'm going to see him,” she said.
Police are still looking for more information on the incident. So far there are no leads to any suspects in the case.
