CASTLETON, N.Y. – Police are investigating after they say a 14-year old was approached by a man and asked if she wanted a ride in the Village of Castleton.

The teen was walking alone on Scott Avenue, near the cemetery, when she was approached by a man who got out of his vehicle, according to Schodack Police. He allegedly asked her if she wanted a ride and to get in his car. She refused, and continued walking down Scott Avenue to North Main Avenue.

The suspect was last seen south bound on South Main Street. He is described as an East Indian male with a heavy accent, in his 50’s, with a beard. His vehicle is a light blue, four-door SUV.
