ALBANY, N.Y.—Earlier this month the Kenwood Academy in Albany was being looked at as a potential facility to house undocumented children.
The 225,000 square foot facility located on Albany Southern Boulevard is currently on the market for almost $4 million.
Congressman Paul Tonko released a statement Tuesday saying the department of health and human services is no longer considering the facility.
Tonko said the only place being considered in the state of New York is a location in Syracuse.
