Engineering Academy for kids kicks off

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. - Time Warner Cable and the Ballston Spa Central School District are teaming up to host the Engineering Academy.

The academy is a two week camp for middle school students that will feature hands-on science, math, technology and engineering activities, or "STEM." Plus, there will be career discussions.

The camp is being hosted at HVCC's Tech Smart Campus.

Through Time Warner Cable's "Connect a Million Minds" initiative, students will learn the science behind lacrosse in a segment called " STEM in Sports." It's a campaign that offers parents, coaches, and other adults the opportunity to get kids interested in "STEM" by highlighting the roles these subjects play in sports.
