ALBANY, N.Y. - The Albany County Legislature passed a resolution that will help begin the process of building housing for homeless veterans in the county.
As members and supporters of soldier on rallied outside, legislators passed Resolution 263, which names Albany County as the lead agency in performing an environmental assessment under the State Environmental Quality Review Act.
This is a necessary step in Soldier On's efforts to build housing for local veterans who return to the area without a home.
The environmental assessment will be paid for by Soldier On.
Albany County Executive Dan McCoy says his office is committed to making Soldier On housing a reality in Albany County.
