PITTSTOWN, N.Y. – A Latham man was arrested for DWI after causing a three-car crash Friday.
Police said George Bush was heading eastbound on Route 7 around 5 p.m. Friday when he crossed over the double solid line. His Dodge Durango side swiped a utility van heading westbound.
The impact caused the van to roll over, and it came to rest on its roof. The Durango then struck a Pontiac Aztec head-on that was traveling westbound, according to police.
Eight people were transported to the hospital. None had life-threatening injuries.
The accident closed Route 7 for about an hour and a half.
Bush was driving on a suspended license due to a prior DWI conviction. He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree.
