COHOES, N.Y. -- The Cohoes Police Department has arrested five after a four month drug investigation.
The Cohoes Police Department’s Detective Bureau concluded a four month investigation with the indictments and arrests of five alleged cocaine dealers that were selling throughout the City of Cohoes.
Police say the operation appeared to have been headed by Davon Preister, of Cohoes, who would use others to mule the drug around the city, giving direction via text messaging.
Surveillance was set up on the defendant’s residences and leads were followed up on from uniformed patrol and neighborhood watch groups along with tips from the city’s drug and crime tip line #233-2161.
The following were arrested:
One of the defendants fled to NYC, where she was apprehended and is now at Rikers Island Correctional Center awaiting transport back to Albany County for arraignment on the charges. The other four defendants are in Albany County Jail with no bail pending further court appearances.
