Two new officers sworn into Troy Police Department


TROY, N.Y.—The Troy Police Department added two new members to the department on Tuesday.

The two individuals were sworn in at 9 a.m. at Troy City Hall by Chief John Tedesco.

Family and friends attended the ceremony, along with Lou Rosamilia, the Troy Mayor, as well as other City of Troy Dignitaries and members of the Troy Police Command Staff.

The two new members are listed below:

David Fera: David served in the United States Marine Corps and most recently worked in the cable industry. He is 36 years old and has a wife, Jacqueline, and two children.

Kayla Messier: Kayla is 23 years old and grew up in Troy. She attended Hudson Valley Community College and received her associate’s degree. She most recently worked at the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department.
