ALBANY, N.Y. - The Albany Fire Chief says a flash grenade was thrown at a fire truck on the Fourth of July.
According to the chief, crews were in the process of responding to an EMS call on Friday. As the fire truck arrived to the corner of Moton Avenue and Hawk Street, the flash grenade was thrown at the truck.
Authorities believe it was an M-80.
Two firefighters had to be treated at the hospital for hearing problems after the incident. Both have since been released.
