Two arrested for burglary in town of Stuyvesant


STUYVESANT, N.Y.—Two men were arrested for burglarizing a home that is currently being renovated in the Town of Stuyvesant on Tuesday.

Investigators Patrick Logue and Mark Dunspaugh were checking the area of Ferry road when they came across two men walking along the road.

After interviewing the men, further investigation revealed a near-by home was burglarized. More questions lead to admissions by both men in regards to the burglarized home.

Eugene Berhaupt, 22, of Rensselaer and Zachary Dayter, 22, of Watervliet were both arrested and charged with Burglary in the third degree and Petit Larceny.

Both men were arraigned in the Town of Stuyvesant Court and are due back in court on July 2 at 5 p.m.
