Cohoes man found guilty in child pornography case

ALBANY, N.Y. – A Cohoes man was found guilty Monday of several counts of child pornography.

Albany County District Attorney David Soares said 59-year-old Richard Henry was found guilty after a jury trial of 32 counts of Possession of a Sexual Performance of a Child.

Microsoft notified law enforcement in June 2011 that an individual uploaded child pornography to the internet. Microsoft provided law enforcement with an e-mail address that was attributed to Henry.

State Police executed a warrant in September 2011 to Henry’s address and uncovered that he did possess multiple digital still images and videos depicting minors engaging in sexual activity.

Henry was remanded into custody after the guilty verdict. He faces up to one and one-third to four years in state prison on each count when sentenced on August 25.
