Troopers, ENCON Police, arrest boat operator on Great Sacandaga
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Troopers and ENCON Police have arrested a man who was allegedly operated a boat while he was intoxicated.
State Police say they stopped a boat on the Great Sacandaga Lake in order to conduct a boat inspection. They say that while they were interviewing the operator, John Michelon, 34, there was an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath.
Michelon was administered standard field sobriety tests and failed, according to police.
The man was placed under arrest and processed without incident. State Police say he had a BAC of .09-percent. He was charged with operating a vessel with a BAC of .08 or greater, a misdemeanor
