Driver allegedly fled scene after head-on crash, left passengers behind

MARLBORO, Vt., - Vermont State Police are looking for the driver of a car who allegedly fled the scene after causing a head on crash, telling his passengers "he was never there."

Police say a Volkswagen Passat crossed the center line on Higley Hill Road in Marlboro, striking a Buick head-on this past Wednesday around 5:30 p.m.. Both cars were totaled.  

Three passengers in Volkswagen were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, as well as the driver of the Buick. The Volkswagen passengers told police that their driver told them that "he was never there" and then fled the scene.
