ALBANY, N.Y. -- On Thursday, Wolff's Biergarten in Albany will be the place to be to watch the World Cup as the US goes head to head with Germany.
“It’s the only time you get people together to cheer for the same team,” said General manager Mark Graydon.
He says they've become the House of Soccer in Albany ever since they opened five years ago. He anticipates a large crowd Thursday -- nearly 1,500 people dressed in red, white, and blue to cheer on the U.S.
To accommodate the growing number of fans in the Capital Region, they're setting up a tent outside.
“We think we’re creating the best atmosphere for American soccer fans. If it was anything like last Sunday it's going to be the best day American soccer fans are going to see,” he said.
The United States is set to face off against Germany in a group G match at the World Cup.
Team USA had a chance for one last training session Wednesday before they had to catch a flight.
Their last game against Portugal ended in a bittersweet tie, but set a US Ratings record with 25 million viewers tuning in for the match.
If you do plan on going to Wolff's Biergarten for the game, they open up at 9 a.m.
