Two arrested for handgun, criminal impersonation


RENSSELAER, N.Y.—The Rensselaer Police Department conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of two individuals on Tuesday.

Ronnie Robinson, 19, attempted to flee from officers and was then arrested a short distance away.

During Robinson fleeing, he discarded a .40 caliber loaded handgun.

Stacey Moore, 43, was driving the vehicle and was also arrested.

Robinson was charged with Criminal Possession of a weapon in the second and third degree, Resisting Arrest, and traffic violations. Moore was charged with Criminal Impersonation in the second degree, Driving while ability impaired drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed operation in the third degree, Criminal Possession of a controlled substance, and vehicle and traffic violations.

Both were arraigned in Rensselaer City Court.
