ALCOVE, N.Y. – A Greenville man was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after his vehicle crashed into a motorcycle.
The Coeymans Police Department responded to a call for a personal injury motorcycle versus car crash around 7:15 p.m. Sunday on Route 111. Police determined the motorcycle’s two occupants were seriously injured upon arrival to the scene.
Police said Robert Dunn of Greenville was driving a Ford Explorer while intoxicated with a BAC of .19 percent.
Dunn was charged with two felony counts of Aggravated Vehicular Assault, Driving with .08 or one percent more of Alcohol, DWI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Keep Right, Speed not Reasonable and Prudent, and Driving Across Hazard Markings.
The 38-year-old was arraigned in the Town of Coeymans Justice Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail without bail.
The 50-year-old male operator of the motorcycle was transported by ambulance to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries. The 49-year-old female passenger of the motorcycle was air lifted to Albany Med with serious injuries.
The status of both patients is not known at this time. Their names are being withheld pending family notification.
