Work begins on Route 4 in North Greenbush July 1

NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. -- The New York State Department of Transportation will begin nighttime paving on Route 4 in North Greenbush, Rensselaer County, starting July 1.

Motorists will encounter single alternating lane traffic controlled by flaggers from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Route 4 will be paved from South Road, at the southern end of Hudson Valley Community College, to Route 43, West Sand Lake Road.

Work is weather dependent and expected to last two weeks.

There will be no work from July 3 to July 6.
