Valley Falls, N.Y. – A Valley Falls woman faces numerous charges after allegedly stabbing a victim in the head with scissors twice.

Christina McDonald, 33, of Valley Falls was arrested by New York State Police in Brunswick for Menacing, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Harassment, and Assault.

Authorities say they responded to a residence and located McDonald’s victim with heavy bleeding from the head. They alleged McDonald stabbed her victim in the head twice with a pair of scissors, causing lacerations.

The victim was able to flee and call 911. Samaritan Hospital treated the victim for the non-life threatening injuries.

McDonald fled the area, but was located by troopers and arrested.

The endangering the welfare of a child charge was issued since there was a child in the residence at the time of the attack.

McDonald was processed at the Brunswick barracks, arraigned before the Pittstown town justice, and remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail on $25,000 cash bail.
