GUILDERLAND, N.Y. - Guilderland Police say they arrested a man twice over the weekend.

According to authorities, on Saturday around 11:30 p.m., officers initiated a vehicle stop for speeding on State Route 20. Following an investigation, it was determined that the driver, David Kornfield, was intoxicated.

Kornfield's chemical test revealed he was driving with a .13-percent BAC. He was released on charges for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with a BAC above .08% BAC, and Speeding.

Police say they also arrested Lisa Mottolo, following further investigation. According to authorities, Mottolo was a front seat passenger in the vehicle and she was found to be in possession of approximately one gram of  ecstasy, also known as “Molly”.

Mottolo was processed and released on charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.

On Sunday around 4 a.m., police say Kornfield was stopped for a second time, while driving in a different vehicle on State Route 20.

Police determined that Kornfield was intoxicated, however, he refused a chemical test. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Speeding, Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, and Fail to Obey a Traffic Control Device.

Kornfield was remanded to the Albany County Jail on $2,000 bail.
