Four accused of soliciting in Town of Waterford

WATERFORD, N.Y. - Police say four people are accused of trying to sell alternative energy to Town of Waterford residents.

According to the Waterford Police Department, on Friday evening, the department responded to a report of person soliciting in the area of Clifton Street. Upon arrival, police located the suspects who were allegedly soliciting from door to door representing Hilu Energy an alternative to National Grid. 

Jasper Statham, 45, and Luis Garcia, 25, were arrested and charged with soliciting without a permit.

Police say that they received a similar report of persons soliciting on Saturday evening, in the area of Third Avenue. 

Upon arrival, police say they located the suspects who were allegedly going door-to-door, soliciting for Tread Fast Solutions. 

Adele Donegan, 48, and Tiffany Gabel, 29, were issued appearance tickets, say authorities.
