SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—A number of hot air balloons lifted off for the annual Balloon and Craft Festival at the Saratoga Fair Grounds Saturday morning.
The fun started at 5:30 a.m. and continued into the night.
Twenty colorful hot air balloons launched from the fair grounds and festival attendees had the chance to get their face painted, listen to live music, and check out more than 120 different vendors.
Balloons were inflated throughout the day to get ready for lift off Saturday evening.
Some got a chance to lift off on a tethered balloon earlier in the day.
“I want to see if people look like tiny ants or even tinier” said Connor Cunningham, who got the chance to go up in one of the hot air balloons.
The balloon fest will continue through Sunday.
