QUEENSBURY, N.Y. -- The man accused of shooting a Walmart employee in Queensbury was arraigned Friday on attempted murder charges.
The case against 54-year-old Raymond White was recently moved to Warren County Court, where he appeared. He was arraigned on charges of attempted murder in the second degree, criminal use of a firearm, attempted assault, assault with the intent to harm, and criminal possession of a weapon.
The victim was shot in the torso, but is expected to survive.
Police say White knew the victim, but have not released a possible motive. He was initially wanted for questioning, but later found at Glens Falls hospital where he was being treated for an apparent overdose. Security officials there recognized him as the man wanted for questioning in the shooting incident and called state police.
White was remanded to Warren County Jail on $150,000 cash bail or $300,000 bond.
