Storm causes power outages, fallen trees

 STILLWATER, N.Y. – A storm that rolled in overnight caused downed trees and power lines, a utility police was even snapped in half.

A National Grid worker was in the area of Eastline Road on Wednesday morning, waiting for crews to arrive to begin repair work. The road is closed along Eastline Road from Route 67 to East High Street, but local through traffic is being allowed.

In other areas, trees have been snapped in half, one even toppling over a van and a home along Route 9P.

There have been multiple reports of down power lines throughout the Saratoga County, according to National Grid almost 500 people in the county are still without power but they're hoping to restore it on Wednesday morning.
