Lee, Mass.—A Lee man appeared in Berkshire Superior Court Tuesday on several charges.
Phap Nguyen, 53, was charged with one count of Armed Assault with Intent to Murder and one count of Cruelty to animals.
The charged continued without a change of plea for three years.
During the three year period, Judge John Agostini ordered that he take his daily medications, continue therapy, and have regular visits with a Department of Mental Health worker, along with undergo consultations to assess change in mental functioning.
Nguyen allegedly shot and injured a 32 year old man who lived at the same address. It is also alleged that Nguyen shot and killed a dog belonging to the victim.
