State Police: Man faces several charges after domestic incident, car accident
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - State Police say a man has been arrested after a domestic incident that took place on Father's Day.
According to authorities, on Sunday, Troopers responded to a reported incident involved Joseph Golden, 43. Prior to arrival to the scene, Golden had already left the scene in his pick-up truck.
During an investigation into the incident, police say Golden returned to the area and intentionally rammed his truck into the back of another truck that a State Trooper and witness were standing in front of while conducting interviews.
The Trooper and four other people, including a 13-year-old, had to take action in order to avoid being struck by the truck that was pushed forward.
Police say Golden then fled the scene again. While he was travelling on Ballard Road, he allegedly hit another vehicle, causing an accident.
Troopers were able to arrive to the scene of the accident and placed Golden under arrest.
Golden has been charged with menacing in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, five counts of reckless endangerment in the first degree, endangering the welfare of a child, felony DWI, and several vehicle and traffic law violations.
