Search continues for missing Shaker grad in Florida

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - It has been over 100 days since Shaker High school graduate Reny Jose was reported missing and there is still no sign of him.

On Monday, Jose’s family said his belongings arrived from Rice University.

Jose went missing in Panama City Beach, Florida during his spring break. Authorities say Jose was last seen on March 3 at 7 p.m. His friends told authorities that he went for a walk in the evening and never returned. He arrived to Panama City Beach on March 1 with his friends. His clothing and personal items were found in a garbage can near the home, including his cell phone.

The Bay Sheriff's Office said it is possible Jose took drugs prior to his disappearance and that he may have a history of drug use.

Jose graduated from Shaker in 2010.

The family is still actively searching for Jose and offering a $15,000 reward for information on his whereabouts.

They are now also asking for Attorney General Eric Holder for federal involvement in the search. They are also asking Senator Schumer for assistance to find him.
