Man accused of selling cocaine in Rensselaer

RENSSELAER, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Police Chief says a man has been arrested for allegedly selling cocaine after an investigation.

According to authorities, on June 13, John Vadakin, 41, was arrested after a several month long investigation into the sale of cocaine.

Vadakin was arrested on an indictment warrant, charging him with five counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the third degree. All counts are class-B felonies.

At the time of arrest, Vadakin was also in possession of a small quantity of cocaine. He has previously been convicted of several drug sale charges.

He was sent to the Rensselaer County Jail and held for arraignment in Rensselaer County Court on a future date.
