Nine displaced after McClellan Street fire

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Schenectady Fire officials say nine people are displaced after a house fire.

According to Schenectady Fire Department Deputy Chief Scott Doherty, numerous people reported a fire shortly after noon on Saturday on McClellan Street. The fire was extinguished within 30 minutes.

The damaged building has one upstairs and one downstairs apartment. In total, nine people were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross. 

There were no injuries.The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
