SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—NYRA will be hosting the first of a series of job fairs for those interested in working at Saratoga Race Course during the 2014 meet.
Positions available at the race course include security, white caps (ushers), parking attendants, utility workers, turf work and general labor, retail clerks, hosts/hostesses, wait staff, bartenders, cooks, prep cooks, food service helpers, cashiers, porters and barbacks, food service supervisors, counter clerks, pari-mutuel betting clerks, and giveaway helpers (part-time only).
The jobs available will run from Opening day on July 16 through Labor Day, September 1.
Interviews will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, June 12 and 13, and from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 14 at the Carousel near the East Avenue Gate.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old with New York State Certified Working Papers. All applicants must have with them acceptable documents which establish identity and employment as per I-9 regulations.
