Last witness called in Adrian Thomas trial

TROY, N.Y.— The defense called what is expected to be its last witness in the Adrian Thomas murder trial on Tuesday.

The Troy man is accused of forcibly throwing or bouncing his four month old son on a bed, causing his death.

The defense argued it wasn’t trauma that killed the infant, but an infection.

On the stand Tuesday was Doctor Barnes, who testified via skype. He said the results of the autopsy were inconclusive and that the brain bleeds could have been from birth.

The prosecution is expected to cross exam the witness.

An earlier jury found Thomas guilty of second degree murder but the conviction was tossed out. This is a re-trial for Thomas.
