Alleged Queensbury Wal-Mart shooter formally charged


QUEENSBURY, N.Y. – A Lake George man accused of shooting another man in a Wal-Mart parking lot has been formally charged by police.

Raymond White, 54, was charged with Attempted Murder in the Second Degree.

Police received a call for an active shooting incident around 9 p.m. June 4 at the Queensbury Wal-Mart on Route 9. Authorities believed the victim and suspect knew each other and the shooting was an isolated incident.

White was wanted for questioning but later found at Glens Falls hospital where he was being treated for an apparent overdose. Security officials there recognized him as the man wanted for questioning in the shooting incident and called state police.

White was later remanded to jail on $150,000 cash bail or $300,000 bond.
