Saratoga man faces multiple charges after allegedly harassing woman

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y --A Saratoga man was charged with six offenses after he allegedly followed and harassed a woman on Friday.

Pedro Perez-Martin, 22, was arrested after a woman called Saratoga Springs Police and reported that she was being followed. When officers arrived, they located Perez in the immediate area and took him into custody.

After an investigation, it was determined that Perez came up behind the victim, grabbed onto her and prevented her from continuing home. She was able to get away and return to her residence.

Perez then showed up banging on the victims door. After Perez eventually stopped banging, the victim tried leaving her home, but found Perez still standing outside. When she tried to slam the door shut, Perez put his foot in the doorway.

The victim forced her way past him and police were then called.

Perez was charged with Unlawful Imprisonment, Harassment, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, Stalking, Menacing, and Attempted Burglary.
