Calling hours, wake held for Washington County Investigator Bruce Hamilton

SALEM, N.Y. -- Memories are being shared in Washington County as calling hours are held for sheriff's department Senior Investigator, Bruce Hamilton.

Hamilton passed away this week suddenly after suffering a heart attack.

He joined the department in 1987 and was the lead investigator on several high profile homicides, fatal accidents, and crimes against children.

Those on the job with him say his gentle demeanor helped solve some of his toughest cases.

Calling hours for law enforcement officials took place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Salem. The wake will be open to the public from 4 p.m. until 7p.m.
