QUEENSBURY N.Y – A victim is being treated for gunshot wounds after a shooting at the Queensbury Walmart Wednesday night.
Police received a call for an active shooting incident at the store at around 9 p.m. Authorities believe the victim and suspect know each other, and that the shooting was an isolated incident, with no threat to the public.
Authorities say the victim was shot in the parking lot and then ran into the store. They were shot in the upper torso and face, suffering non-life threatening injuries. They are being treated at Glens Falls Hospital.
Investigators processed the scene, but were unable to recover the weapon used in the incident.
Walmart reports everything is back to normal at the store.
The man wanted for questioning in connection to the shooting, Raymond C. White, 54, is currently in police custody at Glens Falls Hospital.
White was transported to Glens Falls Hospital this afternoon by ambulance for an apparent drug overdose and security officials there recognized him as the man wanted for questioning in the shooting incident and called the State Police.
He is being treated at the hospital under police supervision and his medical condition is described as non life threatening.
