Police: 16 arrested during Dave Matthews Band event
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Saratoga Police say they arrested 16 people and issued 49 traffic tickets during the nights the Dave Matthews Band performed at SPAC.
According to police, on Friday and Saturday, the city police department, Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, and State Police teamed up to enforce traffic laws, and take a stand against drugs.
During the two day event, police issued 49 traffic tickets. Another 16 people were arrested.
Police say they arrested people who possessed marijuana, concentrated cannabis, ecstasy, cocaine, and heroin.
The Saratoga Springs Police Department say they arrested four people during the event. Two were arrested for marijuana possession and one was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to notify the DMV of an address change.
Police also arrested Garret Stewart, 25, for several drug charges. The charges include two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third, three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth.
