Stillwater man arrested, accused of selling prescription pills
STILLWATER, N.Y. – The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office say a Stillwater man has been arrested on drug charges.
According to authorities, Edward McCarthy, 49, was arrested after the execution of a search warrant in his home on Phillips Road.
The search warrant stemmed from a several month long investigation, conducted by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Narcotics unit, New York CNET, and CDDETF.
The investigation revealed that McCarthy was allegedly selling opiate based prescription pills and even sold those pills to the Narcotics Unit during the investigation.
McCarthy was arrested on Wednesday on charged of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third, a felony, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third, a felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh, a misdemeanor.
He has been arraigned and remanded to the custody of the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
