Motorists reminded to watch out for motorcyclists after accident

LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. - Motorists are being reminded to be aware of motorcyclists and share the road, especially in Lake George.

Thousands of riders will be in the Village this week for Americade. On Monday, Penfield, New York man was hit by a Jeep that was making an unsafe lane change on Canada Street.

The rider was taken to Glens Falls for non-life threatening injuries.

The 32nd Annual Americade Rally will run through Saturday. About 50,000 motorcyclists are expected to be passing through the area over the next few days. State Police and the Thruway Authority say the traffic is expected to be the heaviest along the I-87 corridor.
