CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. -- Over the Memorial Day weekend, troopers arrested four drivers in Clifton Park for DWI offenses.
Saturday at 11:35 p.m., troopers arrested 26-year old Meghan C. Daigneault of Cohoes for DWI after she failed to dim the high beams on her 2007 Mazda while on Lapp Road in Clifton Park. A breath test showed her BAC to be .15 percent. She was released on traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Clifton Park Town Court on June 11 at 7:00 p.m.
Sunday at 2:40 a.m., troopers responded to a 1 car accident on the Northway in Clifton Park. The driver, 56-year old Richard Rodriguez of Malta, had driven his 2003 Acura off the shoulder of the roadway striking a guide rail. Rodriguez was found to be intoxicated by alcohol and was arrested for DWI. A breath test showed his BAC to be .08 percent. He is due to appear in the Clifton Park Town Court on June 5 at 7:00 p.m.
Monday at 2:15 a.m., 42-year old Douglas J. Sousa of Moreau was arrested for DWI after Troopers observed him driving his 2000 Ford on the Northway without wearing his seatbelt and having an expired inspection sticker. A breath test determined Sousa’s BAC to be .11 percent. He was released on tickets and is due to appear in the Clifton Park Town Court on June 4 at 7:00 p.m.
Monday at 11:20 p.m., Troopers arrested 28-year old Andrew Belschwinder of Loudonville for DWAI after the 2005 Mercury he was driving was stopped for erratic operation on the Northway. A breath test resulted in a BAC of .07 percent. He is due to appear in the Clifton Park Town Court on June 25 at 7:00 p.m.
