State Police: Woman caught shoplifting, possessing heroin
BRUNSWICK, N.Y. - A Hoosick Falls woman has been arrested for allegedly shoplifting and possessing heroin.
According to State Police in Brunswick, Deanna Mosca, 35, has been arrested for Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument.
Mosca allegedly pushed a shopping cart out of the Wal-Mart store on Hoosick Road that contained over $700 in merchandise. She is accused of not paying for the items.
Mosca was confronted by lost prevention personnel and detained.
Upon arrival to the scene, the responding Trooper found Mosca to be in possession of a hypodermic needle and a small amount of heroin. She was processed at the Brunswick barracks and issued appearance tickets.
Mosca has three active warrants from different jurisdictions, say State Police. She was turned over to State Police Northway station on a warrant for driving with a suspended license.
