Man accused of driving in excess of 100 mph on Northway
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. - State Police say they arrested a man who was allegedly recklessly driving in heavy traffic on the Northway.
According to authorities, on Friday around 6:30 p.m., State Police were notified about a vehicle that was being operated recklessly at high rates of speed on the Northway near Exit 13.
A sergeant for the State Police was near Exit 12 at the time of the report. Authorities say the suspect was caught driving at 102 miles per hour. The sergeant also witnessed the Buick recklessly change numerous lanes in heavy traffic while speeding.
The driver was pulled over during a traffic stop. Jared M. Tenace, 23, was arrested for misdemeanor reckless driving, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and numerous traffic citations. Tenace was processed at the Malta barracks by a Clifton Park Interstate Trooper and was issued appearance tickets to appear in Malta court on a later date.
