Albany man pleads guilty to possession of a forged instrument
ALBANY, N.Y.—An Albany man pleaded guilty after possessing $1,000 in counterfeit U.S. currency on Thursday.
David King, 44, pleaded guilty to one count of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the second degree.
On April 16, 2013, King was detained by law enforcement and found to be in possession of $1,000 in counterfeit U.S. currency. At the time, King was allegedly on his way to sell the counterfeit money for $300 in legitimate currency.
King faces up to seven years in State Prison when sentenced on July 9.
