RENSSELAER, N.Y. – Two women were arrested after they were allegedly caught using heroin in a parked car.
The city of Rensselaer Police Department arrested 36-year-old Lisa Miner-Wynn of John Street and her 24-year-old stepdaughter Jasmine Wynn of the same address Wednesday.
Police said officers spotted the vehicle parked on the side of the 1500 block of Second Street. It appeared the driver was slumped over in the vehicle.
Officers approached the vehicle and could see there were hypodermic needles on the subjects’ laps, and they were attempting to inject heroin at the time, according to police.
Both women were taken into custody and evaluated by Rensselaer Fire Department EMS personnel.
Both were charged with Criminal Possession of a controlled Substance, Criminally Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument and Loitering.
Wynn was released on an appearance ticket. Miner-Wynn had several other vehicle and traffic law charges and was held on a warrant from unrelated charges.
