PRATTSVILLE, N.Y. – The Greene County Sheriff’s Office say they have arrested two brothers in connection to an illegal sale of a firearm.

According to authorities, on May 13, Jason Conklin, 37, was arrested on three felony charges following a month long investigation. Conklin, who is also known as Jason Rosenbloom, is accused of selling an unregistered handgun to an undercover police officer on April 9.

Conklin, a convicted felon and level two sex offender, was arraigned on his charges of criminal sale of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon. He was remanded to county jail on no bail.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office said they also arrested Conklin’s brother, 35-year-old Matthew Rosenbloom.

Rosenbloom has been arrested for conspiracy in the fifth degree, a misdemeanor, for his alleged role in the April handgun sale.

Rosenbloom has been arraigned and was remanded to county jail on $30,000 cash bail or $60,000 bail bond. He was previously arrested in 2013 for felony criminal sale of a controlled substance.
