ALBANY, N.Y. - A new pipeline proposition at Port of Albany has environmental groups trying to stop it in its tracks.
The line would carry controversial North Dakota Crude Oil from the Port to New Jersey refineries.
Pilgrim Pipeline Holdings out of Connecticut say it would be safer and more environmentally friendly than the current rail and barge shipments. But opponents argue it still puts residents at risk of spills and accidents.
Dozens of groups asking the governors in New York and New Jersey to block the project.
