Early morning fire at Albany convenience store

Posted: Updated:
ALBANY N.Y. - Two buildings were affected by Wednesday’s early morning blaze, which began in the rear of a convenience store on 484 Clinton Avenue.

Fire crews got the call around 2:30 this morning reporting heavy smoke and fire.

The fire chief tells NEWS10 ABC that the fire extended to a neighboring building. Both buildings suffered heavy fire and water damage.

The chief said it was a very difficult fire to put out and there may be a third home affected. Fortunately no one was injured.

The cause of this fire has not yet been determined.

A portion of Clinton Avenue was closed as fire crews extinguished the flames. However, the road has since been reopened.
