Chalue receives three life sentences for murder charges

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., - The Springfield man, who was found guilty for helping to kill three Pittsfield men, has been sentenced on Monday.

David Chalue, 47, was sentenced to serve consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole on charges of murder.

He was found guilty on Friday of three counts of murder in the first degree, three counts of kidnapping, and three counts of intimidation of a witness.

The jury spent about 30 hours deliberating over a five day period before returning its verdict on Chalue. They determined that Chalue kidnapped and killed 44-year-old David Glasser, 58-year-old Edward Frampton, and 47-year-old Robert Chadwell. The three men were last seen in August 2011.
