Assembly passes chronic Lyme Disease bill

ALBANY, N.Y. - Chronic Lyme Disease may not be recognized by the medical community, but the New York State Assembly has passed legislation to help those that say they are fighting the disease.

The bill was passed on Tuesday. It authorizes physicians to prescribe long-term antibiotic therapy to a patient with symptoms of chronic Lyme Disease.

Despite bipartisan support in the assembly, it's unclear what support the measure has in the senate.
