Local rally to be held for missing Nigerian girls

ALBANY, N.Y. – The online effort to call attention to more than 200 girls who have been kidnapped in Nigeria is creating rallies across the world. 

The girls were kidnapped from school by a militant group. The hashtag “Bring Back Our Girls” has gone viral to bring attention to the incident.

The online movement has also led to rallies in various cities in the world, including one in Albany. It will start at noon at East Capital Park. There will be a moment of silence and the names of each of the 276 girls who were abducted, will be read. 

The rally is meant to call attention to the situation and raise awareness of the missing girls.
